PRESS RELEASE: Healthwatch awards ceremony to celebrate recipients of its micro-grants scheme

Starting from 12.30pm, all fifteen organisations will have an opportunity to meet members of Healthwatch Doncaster’s Board over lunch; network with other recipients and receive a congratulatory cheque for their application.
History of the micro-grant scheme
The Healthwatch Doncaster micro-grants scheme was launched on 1st March 2017, to encourage non-profit, community groups to apply for a grant to gather feedback of health and social care experiences in an innovative way.
Work has begun for those groups to begin their task and Healthwatch will inform details of their sessions on our website.
Healthwatch Doncaster Chief Operating Officer Andrew Goodall said:
“We’re looking forward to speaking to our micro-grants scheme recipients to hear what plans they have in more detail, and allow them to forge closer relationships with our Board and the Healthwatch team.”

Healthwatch Doncaster is a Community Interest Company as of 1st July 2016, to continue its work across Doncaster supporting the improvement of health and care services through engagement, involvement and influence.
This entails engagement work throughout the community, signposting people to the right service and providing NHS Advocacy support.
