Invitation to a Right Royal Picnic in the Park
On Sunday 5 June 2022, Balby’s Woodfield Park will host a giant party fit for a Queen, with visitors being encouraged to bring along a chair, or blanket, and sit in the picturesque grounds to enjoy a fun-filled right royal occasion.
Steve Gillman, from Flourish Enterprises, which has organised the event, said: “You can bring your own picnic, or simply pre-order from us for just £2.50 a person by ringing 01302 798000."
It’s free entry and free parking, so we hope hundreds of people come along and turn Woodfield Park into the best of British, with a sea of Union Jacks.
The party starts at 11am and runs until 4pm, with plenty to see and hear, including Doncaster Youth Jazz Orchestra, the Shine Festival, the new Platinum Jubilee Garden in St Catherine’s House’s Walled Garden. There will also be family games and we’ll be burying a commemorative time capsule. Café Flourish and Courtyard will also be open.
