Individuals, organisational representatives and health and social care professionals met at the Salvation Army Citadel to discuss their ideas around 'What Matters to YOU about Health and Social care'
Findings
Following presentations from Healthwatch Doncaster and the Doncaster Council, the groups had discussions around 'What Matters to YOU About Health and Social Care in Doncaster' and identified the key concerns of:
- Choice and Control
- Continuity
- Support
- Training
Recommendations
Healthwatch Doncaster aims to look into these concerns by hosting a Carers coffee morning at our Healthwatch Doncaster offices on June 20th. We will be hosting a further event at the Lakeside Community Church on July 8th, titled ‘Are you a carer? What are your needs?’ at which carers will be invited to discuss the four main concerns in depth.
