Annual Report 2023-2024
What we have been up to in 2023-2024 - don't forget we work on behalf of all communities, the under-served, the hidden voices and of course YOU, the Doncaster population. If you have an experience on health and social care you would like to share we are always ready to listen.
We have listened to our local communities through the model of Community Conversation and we are working with stakeholders to see positive change happen in real time. By the end of 2024 we will all see some of these changes implemented within our local health services.
This years report features how we have worked in partnership with the other Healthwatch's within the South Yorkshire region. The Joint Forward Plan encompasses a diverse range of voices who have all driven change for the next five years. The recommendations are detailed within our report, we can share with you one of them is to improve services for Children and Young People to help reduce waiting times in terms of mental health, learning disability and autism support.
We felt privileged to be asked by our local hospital trust to undertake an independent review of Ward 24 Gastroenterology through our Enter and View programme. Our Authorised Representatives relished the opportunity and have gone from strength to strength within their volunteer roles within Healthwatch Doncaster. This has helped contribute to the dedicated time and support all our volunteers give to us which underpins our success as we remain independent and the voice of Doncaster people in regards to Health and Social care.
