A local health trust’s Specialist Continence Service is marking World Continence Week and inviting the public to come along to meet the team.

A 90-year-old Doncaster woman who has been cared for at home with a new Virtual Ward service says the new way of caring has helped her to get better more quickly.

The Virtual Ward is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) in partnership with Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, with clinicians visiting patients at home – keeping hospital beds free, yet the same care is delivered.

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH) will host its ‘Your Future in Healthcare’ event next week, with local students, learners and those considering a career change encouraged to attend. The event will take place on Friday 23 June 2023 at Bassetlaw Hospital and will feature informative sessions led by health professionals from DBTH, local colleges, and universities.
