Hospital services

As of 20th October, Doncaster Bassetlaw and Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have made suspended all non-essential visiting due to the rise in coronavirus cases. They're encouraging people for virtual visiting or writing a letter for their loved one.

GP 

Your local GP surgery is available, call them to discuss your clinical issue and they will advise accordingly. Whether that’s a telephone, video, or if needed, a face-to-face consultation.

Cancer treatments are continuing so it’s important to contact your GP surgery if you have any concerns, or feel you are experiencing symptoms. NHS is encouraging people to not delay getting seeking help.


Dentistry

Dental practices are re-opening however they will offering their services differently in light of Covid-19. Telephone or email your practice, rather than visit without an appointment. They will advise further relating your dental query. Out of hours for urgent dental issues the advice is to call 111 or visit their website and don’t visit A&E with your dental problem.


Opticians

Majority of opticians in Doncaster are open for urgent or emergency appointments only.


Mental health services

Mental health services delivered by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust have changed: visiting has been ceased to all Trust sites whilst one visitor is permitted at St John’s Hospice..
